Ghana Marks Founder's Day

Ghana  celebrates the 108th birthday of Dr Kwame Nkrumah, the first President of Ghana today, Thursday, September 21, for his contribution to the liberation and growth of the country. Dr Nkrumah was born on 21st September 1909 and died on 27th April 1972
The day, christened “Founder’s Day, was declared a public holiday by the late President John Evans Atta Mills.
It is a day that Ghanaians are expected to reflect and appreciate the sacrifices and achievements of the founding fathers of the country.
Every year the Day is marked with lectures and other programmes to highlight the achievements of Dr Nkrumah. Hail Nkrumah, one of the greatest sons of Ghana, Africa and the world at large
