Take me to church! i can't wait to see my crush, take some selfies and show off my new dress.

 It's another wonderful Sunday, a day most of us go to church to worship and thank God for His goodness and mercies. That notwithstanding, some of us also go to church because of other reasons. As you read along, I hope you find the category in which you belong to.

We have those who go to church willingly because they know what God has done for them and therefore want to go and give Him the praise He deserves. These people don't need anyone to convince or force them before they go. They do that out of their own will.

Some go to church because they were born in the church. Yes, most of us go to church because mum and dad are Christians therefore making us Christians automatically. As a result, going to church on Sundays is like a tradition, you don't really have a choice. You dare not miss church service.

Others also go to church because it is an opportunity to see their crush again or an opportunity to see their friends whom they haven't seen in a while. I had a friend whose motivation for going to church was because of a fine lady he was hoping to 'grab'. This guy made sure he never missed church service. Don't you remember when you used to go to church because of that fine lady or gentleman? hahaha

Most people especially the ladies also go to church to show off their new hair style or dress and take some spiritual selfies. Yes, some will intentionally go late so that people can appreciate how gorgeous they look in that dress, shoes etc. Well, at least they are showing off in church not in the club.

Some people also go to church because they were invited whiles others go because if they don't, their pastor will ask of their whereabouts. To avoid this, they'll just go, sit for a while and vanish after they’re convinced they've been seen.

Finally, my favorite people, those who go to church to charge their phones and laptops. You may see it as a joke but I had a friend Kofi Mensah who  made sure he charged his phones, tablet and laptop before leaving church. 

Even though we all have other secondary agendas for going to church, I believe in the end we all go to church with the primary aim of singing, dancing and thanking God for the good things He has done and the greater things He will do. Happy Sunday and enjoy the rest of the day.
