The Silence Wasn't For Nothing,Sarkodie to launch his 5th Studio Album 'The Highest'

Sarkodie is set to launch his 5th studio album dubbed ‘The Highest’ on the 8^th of September 2017.

Sarkodie is arguably the best artist in Ghana in the last decade and also one of the most talented artists in Africa and the world at large. With his countless hit songs and collabos, Sark is definitely a household name. But for some time now, people have raised a lot of concerns about his silence in terms of his music career. They claimed the reign of the rap king is gradually coming to an end due to the fact that, he hasn’t dropped any song in recent times. It is true he’s been doing features here and there, however, we haven’t had anything from him to jam to after ‘gboza’.

Well, the wait is over! He wasn’t quiet for nothing after all. The Highest album comes with 16 tracks and with 10 videos filmed already. According to Sarkodie, the album is completely Hip-hop with no commercial song on it. It's a partnership with Jayso and 90% of the songs on the album were produced by @jaysoskillions. "I was a bit skeptic about the sound and was careful about my choice of words. The album is my state of mind and it's deep. For this album, I'm going back to my root." – Sarkodie said.

#TheHighestAlbum has features from Flavour, Worlasi, Big Nasty, Victoria Kimani and a talk list of others. According to Sark,Titi his daughter had an influence on this album.
