God reveals to redeem! Is that really the case?
“God reveals to redeem” in my opinion is one of the most misconceived and abused lines in today’s world especially among Christians. Most people believe that so far as God has revealed He has to sull it. This article therefore seeks to bring to light the true meaning of this statement in order to save many from the quagmire of ignorance.
Usually, when there’s an
incident especially death, we see many videos and audios of men of God
circulating, showing how they foretold those incidents. Music star, Ebony’s
death was no different. We saw many videos where some men of God categorically
stated that she’ll die by accident and as we are all aware, it did happen. So
this brings up the argument and questions; ‘what did these men of God do about
it when they saw it?’ ‘doesn’t God reveal to redeem?’ ‘why should they prophesy
about such incidences instead of praying against them?’ It’s to this effect
that my brother Clichy Boateng Silas writes;
The kind of
disdain and derision towards prophecies and prophets is ridiculously
preposterous. But at least, education on the subject from adept people will
eradicate the profuse mumbles. Why didn't the prophets avert it? Redeem
it? Halt it? Sull it?
Listen, some
prophecies are unconditional, but others are reactionary, especially CAUTION
PROPHECIES. You react to it, to avert it or prevent yourself from being
predisposed to it. God reveals to redeem? God revealed Jesus Christ to the
whole world, to redeem the whole world, but is everyone going to be saved? No.
Only those who react by accepting Jesus Christ. If you fail to react, do you
blame God? No. Same with caution prophecies. You react. You respond. You take
matters in your hands to avert it or prevent yourself from being a victim. If I
tell you it's going to rain tomorrow so don't go out or better still take an
umbrella with you, you will tell me to stop the rain instead? No. You are being
a nitwit. That's tomfoolery.
If I dream that you are dead
and I tell you but you take no steps to avert it by prayer or what have you, I
promise, I say this without restraint, you will die indeed.
When God warned Israel of results of impending wars through his prophets, they won when they reacted, they lost when they received them with apathy.
God sent prophet Isaiah to tell King Hezekiah that he was going to die from his illness. When Hezekiah reacted by prayer, God reverted it and gave him extra 15 years to live.

Besides not every prophecy is
reversible. Some will happen irrespective. But I don't think that was the case
in this instance with reference to Ebony’s case.
Don't wing it. Don't think on
your feet. Go for knowledge. And do it in all humility. Stop displaying
buffoonery. Don't educe slothful ad hocery. Ask. Ask. Before you assume, try a
wiser version called ask.
So indeed, God reveals to
redeem but this only works when you act! God still speaks and prophets should
be heeded. God bless you!
