Letting Go.

I was holding on not knowing you were already gone.
It was all a game for you and I was just a pawn.
I dreamt of happily ever after but I guess I was building castles in the air.
Thinking you were all mine, you and "deception" had a great affair.

You're the love of my life. A beautiful lie I was told.
You said I was priceless but for a penny I was sold.
You disappeared in the winter, you showed up in the summer and it was cold.
You perfectly define, "All that glitters is not gold."

I am letting go. I can't stand the pain no more.
Its been so long and I don't know who you're anymore.
A thousand times you said to me "cry no more"
Yet you never changed but decided to kill me more.

Experience is the mother of wisdom.
My trees lost many leaves before Autumn.
I was the head but now I am not even located at the bottom.
I am letting go. I deserve another chance to blossom.
